Community care hazards course

Identifying and managing hazards for Community Care Direct Care Workers
This training program focuses on the identification and management of hazards for direct care workers who work in community care such as (but not limited to) CACP, HACC and EACH services. It is interactive and participative and will assist direct care workers in identifying hazards, applying a risk assessment and analysis and will develop the care workers’ ability to assess situations and apply appropriate actions. Issues and challenges associated with working in the community setting are also explored during the program.
This course is designed for: Community care staff who work directly with clients.

Identifying and managing hazards in and around the home for Community Coordinators
This training program focuses on the obligations and requirements for employers, managers, supervisors and employees to identify and control hazards relating to community care. It is interactive and participative and will enable the community coordinator to apply processes for identifying hazards, risk assessment, hazard control and evaluation. The program also explores issues and challenges associated with working as coordinators and supervisors in the community setting.
This course is designed for: Community care supervisors, coordinators and managers.
